Von Hospital de Órbigo nach Murias de Rechivaldo
Heute war es eine gemütliche Etappe. Das große Highlight war die Stadt Astorga. Gesegnet mit einer beeindruckenden Kathedrale und einem von Gaudi entworfenen Palast. Das Wetter war traumhaft und ich habe den Tag sehr genossen. Die kleinen Bänke und Tische am Wegesrand bieten bei den höheren Temperaturen eine charmante Möglichkeit für Rast und Gespräche.
Die heutige Herberge ist ziemlich verrückt aber irgendwie gemütlich. Ich konnte die Wäscheleine nutzen und mich sonnen. Die Köchin mit verrauchter Stimme und einem unglaublich großem Spektrum an Gesichtsausdrücken (teilweise gleichzeitig) wird mir fehlen. Sie ist irgendwie sehr sympathisch. Morgen werde ich gleich zu Beginn einen Stein suchen und diesen dann mitnehmen. Es geht wieder bergauf und es wird symbolisch! Also bleibt dran!

From Hospital de Órbigo to Murias de Rechivaldo
Today was a leisurely stage. The major highlight was the town of Astorga, blessed with an impressive cathedral and a palace designed by Gaudi. The weather was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. The small benches and tables along the way provide a charming opportunity for rest and conversation, especially in the higher temperatures. The hostel tonight is quite quirky but somehow cozy. I was able to use the clothesline and bask in the sun. The cook, with her husky voice and incredibly wide range of facial expressions (sometimes simultaneously), will be missed. She’s somehow very likable. Tomorrow, I’ll look for a stone right at the beginning and then take it with me. It’s uphill again, and it will be symbolic! So stay tuned!
