Von Simanca nach Medina de Rioseco

Bei meinen Vorräten hatte ich mich verkalkuliert! Zudem war der Supermarkt ziemlich leer und ekelhaft. Auf dem Weg wurde mir klar, morgen ist Feiertag und ich habe wohl beim Film zu viel genascht! Außerdem wollte ich noch dringend für eine geliebte Person beten. Das hatte ich versprochen! Also auf zur nächsten Siedlung, die einen Supermarkt und eine Kirche hat. Also 45km weiter!!

Ich habe die Distanz geschafft und konnte die Vorräte großzügig auffüllen! Habe sogar Magnesium in der Apotheke kaufen können. Die Kirche Santa Maria hatte um 20:30 noch geöffnet und so konnte ich beten und kam im Anschluss mit einem jungen, freundlichen Padre ins Gespräch, der meine heutige Reise noch mit einem Stempel im Pilgerpass belohnte. Es sind nur noch 80km auf dem Camino de Madrid! Dann geht es weiter auf dem volleren Camino Frances. Jetzt ab in die Wanne. Es schüttet in Strömen!

From Simanca to Medina de Rioseco

I had miscalculated my supplies! Additionally, the supermarket was quite empty and disgusting. On the way, it dawned on me that tomorrow is a holiday, and I might have overindulged in snacks during the movie! Plus, I urgently wanted to pray for a loved one. I had promised that! So, off to the next village, which has a supermarket and a church that’s open. It’s 45km away!! I managed the distance and was able to generously replenish supplies! I even managed to buy magnesium at the pharmacy. The Santa Maria church was still open, so I prayed and then struck up a conversation with a young, friendly padre who rewarded my journey today with a stamp in the pilgrim’s passport. There are only 80km left on the Camino de Madrid. Then it’s onto the busier Camino Frances. Now, off to the tub. It’s pouring rain!
